Résidence Sillage explores a compact form of urban housing with generous outdoor thresholds. The design gives the building a calm presence on the street while opening its residential spaces towards greenery.
The design approach
A limestone frame creates deep reveals around bronze-framed glazing. Recessed loggias add shade and privacy without breaking the rhythm of the façade. At ground level, the entrance and garden establish a quieter transition from the public sidewalk to the homes.
Three design decisions
- 01
Give the façade depth
Recessed openings and loggias turn the elevation into a sequence of sheltered outdoor rooms rather than a flat surface.
- 02
Soften the street corner
A gently curved corner carries the building around the intersection and gives the entrance a clear urban address.
- 03
Connect housing and landscape
A planted garden and carefully framed views bring greenery into the experience of the building.
